Scrapple Hungry to Discontinue Operations

DOWNTOWN, NJ, November 29, 2005 -- Due to a number of factors beyond my control, this web site will cease operations on or around December 31, 2005.

As you probably know, this website was originally established during the vacuum created when Scott Ott over at ScrappleFace "permanently, temporarily, indefinitely" removed his comment section. As we all know now, Scott was simply transitioning between formats. As you also know, BlogEasy does not provide the same kind of interface and services to which we Scrapplers have become accustomed.

Furthermore, Scrapple Hungry does not employ a journalist with the talented writing skills of Scott Ott's stature. As a result, interest in Scrapple Hungry has waned significantly.

Finally, things are a bit hectic here at the offices of Scrapple Hungry. There's the holidays, other blogs to write for, school projects that need to be finished up before the end of the semester, and on top of everything else, Hawkeye� (Editor-in-Chief) has to go in for surgery. "Fortunately, it's nothing too serious", said Mr. Eye�. "But it's just another thing that will keep me from providing a top notch blog site".

Well, sorry to hear the site's going belly-up, but I do understand the time restraints. Hang in there with the surgery...I just recently went through that myself and feel better now than I did before. I hope the same for you!

Just the Facts, Ma'am / Camo... Thanks for your kind words and words of encouragement. Had a bit of a scare on Wednesday. Spent the afternoon in the Emergency Room. The good news... all the tests came out negative. The bad news... I went home feeling as bad I went in. More good news... I may be able to postpone the surgery until after the holidays. Wishing all a blessed Christmas or a happy Chanukah (or Hanukkah, if you prefer).

Always enjoy your pithy comments on Scrapple. Can fully understand your reasons for closing this site ...but DON'T put yourself down for not being able to write like Scott. There are not too many who can, and you hold yourself up quite well. Best of luck on your surgery. You may recall I had some cuttin' done in 2002. Still cancer free, and getting fatter and grouchier every day. Will remove this site from bookmarks, but keep View from Above. Regards. You'll be in our prayers for a successful surgry.

Camo... Just did... 1) Scott Ott is back up and running, 2) BlogEasy = "so-so", 3) No Ott-level talent here, 4) Interest waning, 5) Surgery. Well... OK... I guess Items #3 and #4 are technically under my control.
